No. Modern fuel pumps are cooled by gas in the tank — running on fumes regularly can damage the pump and lead to expensive repairs. Refill at 1/4 tank or higher. This is especially important during hurricane season when stations may run out of gas during evacuations.

Don't drive through standing water if you can't see the bottom — even a few inches can stall an engine, and a few feet can destroy it. If you do get caught in a flooded area, stop, turn off the car, and call us. Trying to restart a flooded engine causes more damage.
